moved to my Home-State, so happy to be back and have my much-loved 4 Seasons again. Did not like the almost constant, icy winds off the ocean, and lack of shopping options (groceries and other). Did a lot of shopping online and finally gave up on any clothes shopping ;)
I have a 98 mg/dl this a.m. and I am just in shock! First time under 100 in seems like ages but something is working, no meds. I mean I know it will fluctuate but I also see my total calories a day are much lower then they should be. I don't feel starved though that's kinda weird, for me. Basically, I am eating eggs, a little cheese, good vegies (low in carb) like Asparagas, Green tea every day, just a snack at like 2 or 3, no real lunch anymore, then dinner is a meat, vegie, and cottage cheese. That snack is usually Two Good Yogurt, 2 grams of carb per serving, with nuts and blueberries in small amounts (1/8 cup).

I don't know but I'm thrilled to see that 98, which is 5.4 in mmol/l. No Metformin for a few days now, 5 I think. Wanted to post because this forum helps me so much. Following doctors orders I don't think I'd be where I am which is a really good place. I'm down 8 lbs, but only 1 inch around my tummy, and that is since Jan. 20, so not fast loss, but healthy I think. Feel good, lots of energy yesterday. We'll see how today goes ;)

Thanks people,

Congrats, your next A1c is going to be a great improvement.
Funny because I really slacked on the testing, and relaxed a lot. I was told here that stress raised BG so could be. The Sun was out finally, yesterday, and I was sort of feeling high on life. Went over to a neighbors to have tea and help her learn how to use her new Tablet. I never do much at all in the evenings but I've been doing more. I so hope my average will be good @Ronancastled and my appt is I think, the 23rd. I'll check ;)

So your last HbA1c was the 20th of Jan & your getting bloods taken on the 23rd of March.
As you probably know it's an average over 3 months.
Would you not be better to leave it an extra month so there's no overlap ?

Anyway, I'm sure you know best.

Yes, I know you are right, so no labs on the 23rd. Let me go check on the appt. I have another appt. on the 29th of April, and I have to go in a week before for the labs ;) The 23rd is something else. Good thing you mentioned it so I'd look because I think the 23rd can be cancelled as it was to do with talking to him about Vaccine. Now I'm set up for that. We are kind of the last to get anything up here on the lost coast. But that's lucky in a lot of ways.

Great ...enjoy the moment, sure to be many others.

I hear you on the "energy"

When I first started I was finding fast walking difficult, a month or so in I was jogging to train station in morning.

Good luck with HBA1c, sure to be a good un.
Might be a good idea to move it back as suggested by @Ronancastled , though.

Sure from your progress it's going to be much lower, but never hurts to try for the best score ;)
It just gives such a boost after all the efforts put in.

Marvellous stuff by you

That is great news!
Thank you @VashtiB today I got a 104 mg/dl so I thought I would focus more on each meals total, instead of full day's. But my total carbs were 30 yesterday and the other day when I got the 98 I had only eaten 25 grams. It really gets more and more interesting how it works, or maybe doesn't. I really am much more relaxed about it all and I know people say that can make a big difference,

Yes @jjraak I had my dates mixed up so it will be a bit over 3 months when I have my next labs. Great on your jogging! I walk for my cardio but it's usually with lots of energy. Knowing your body is a real trip isn't it. Now I will also be checking what I ate when I have the "most" energy days ;)

Also you mention pushing out the appt. and I realize early on numbers could make that hba1c a higher average than I hope. But most check at 3 months I suppose. I just won't expect anything but an average, that way I won't get all disappointed ;)
