Hi

Has anyone got a nutribullet? Are they worth the money or not? Is there a different type that anyone recommends?

Need now to eat blended foods or soups and don't want to spend lots of money if they aren't worth it?
 
the small bullet breaks quickly the bigger version is much better but more pricey i just use a belvita? i think for my smoothies cost me £20
 
Belvita?? Thats a biscuit? Do you mean a breville??

One of the papers recently compared the Nutribulleet with the Aldi alternative and although the nutribullet won, it was manyfold more expensive than the Aldi variant. I don't know if the Aldi one is available on demand or just during an offer period.

If any gadget is actually going to be used a lot, I think it's probably worthwhile investing in something up to the job and more. Have you looked at the blender and soup makers combined? I haven't, as I have a fairly heavy duty blender on my butch food processor and don't ever have smoothies.

Very pleased with my Nutribullet. It might be pricey but I like to think I've paid for quality, it's certainly been used on some very thick smoothies.
 
I don't have a Nutribullet but I do have an electric soup maker which also blends which I find very useful I have at times when unable to eat solid foods been known to chuck my Sunday roast in it and blend it down so I can eat it bit like baby food really but hay-ho when needs must.

That's kind of my general thought and approach.

I think the nutribullet is good for what it is, but it's basically a single-serve mini blender.

I have a Vitamix blender which I admit is probably overkill, but it's a joy to use. I've owned cheaper blenders (~$100usd) in the past and hated the burning smell coming from the motor working too hard. They also lasted maybe 1-2 years if I was lucky. Ive had my Vitamix for probably 5-6 years now.
 
I have a nutribullet and a slater as a backup, I use the nutribullet 2 times a day, I've had it just over three months it's been very good so far it enables me to eat more greens.
 
I found the cheapest way to own a Nutribullet is get someone to buy it for you for Christmas. I use it daily with kale-heavy smoothies laced with nuts, seeds or chia. I'm on the look-out for a diabetes friendly recipe book.

Think I'm sold on the nutribullet with soup maker as well...
Good job we go through a large carton of yogurt each day.. Can use them to multiple freeze soups.
Not that many recipes though without onions and garlic.

They are the best recipes for soup that I have seen...thankyou so much. Can't wait for it to arrive now!!

Yippee.

Got appt next week for gastro chap though.. Will just have to see whether he says soups/purees etc or a feeding tube... At least I can try soups etc before I see him and find out if it helps my stomach!!
