I am not talking about salted peanuts but mixad nuts, almonds brazil, Hazel walnuts etc
I was gived a few packets as a Birthday treat and since I had some ( a handful or so) I find my BS is raising
I thought they were a good alternative too

I don't have a problem with walnuts, hazel nuts, pecans, almonds or brazil nuts. Cashews aren't true nuts and are pretty high in carb.

This might help -

I believe some T1's have to account for protein when calculating how much insulin to use. @SimonP78 I see you have liked @KennyA 's post. Have I got that right? @Mark Rawlinson is a T2 on insulin.

More for the carb content of the non-tree nuts, specifically peanuts in my case (I don't really like cashews). Brazil nuts, for example (which I'm munching on right now) contain very few carbs.

I would probably need to account for the protein if I'd not eaten any carbs earlier, but I'm very rarely in a situation where I need to do this as I'm definitely not low carb.

@Mark Rawlinson It sounds like you are an individual that needs to account for proteins. Nuts can be high in proteins. I'm not on insulin , so I can't comment, but I have read some T1 discussions on the subject. @Antje77 may be able to help.

If you see a consistent rise from them, you could work out how to dose with your trurapi.

Personally, if I have nuts earlier in the day I need to inject for them, in the evening I don't. But this may be completely different for you.
I let my meter guide me, if a food raises my bg I inject for it next time.

Thank you for now I don't want to change the units as am only using 4u trurapi will see what nurse says today at my app't. If my sugar has been high I have odd time gone to 5 units hope se is not on here :/
something must be right as mt Hba1c has gone from 129 to now 61 over 6 months
Also remember these nuts are an occasional treat not staple part of my diet
