nuts

I gain lots of health benefits from nuts, The best way to tell is by checking with your BGmeter.:)
Diabetics can eat any kind of nut, as long as they eat it in moderation and balance it with healthy choices. But nuts have general health benefits for everyone, including diabetics. Nuts also have specific benefits if you have diabetes. Some nuts have more health benefits than others.

I think large amounts could see a notable effect...........

i could have a few handful of peanuts and not bother with insulin though or see a significant rise in blood sugar....

I suppose it depends on the nut too.........

and everyone is different.......

test and see....

Both Macadamia and Walnuts are lowish in carbs, but much will depend on the quantity you it that will in turn effect your bg levels..

Beware of chestnuts though as they are very high carb.

Overall nuts are good for you but they do have some carbs as others have said but at least the carbs are balanced by other valuable ingredients as opposed to most of the things I saw in my local baker today; appalling junk.
