Hi @MarkBuxton and welcome to the forum :)

I am not an Omnipod user, so a bit useless, however if it was my Medtronic pump then i'd be calling the tech team there, am tagging 2 others who might be able to help @LooperCat and @himtoo

I’ve never seen that, but I don’t use the PDM with my pods as I control it from my phone. Definitely call Insulet on 0800 011 6132 and they’ll be able to assist, I’m sure.

Hi @MarkBuxton
welcome to the forum

I have had a pdm failure before -- but never 2 in a week
2 failures in 4.5 years --

I am sure you must have spoken to customer services as they replaced the first PDM

Hope you get sorted quickly
and you have back up pens to use while waiting( pain in the backside I know )

Well another one bites the dust 3 days later and all the manufacture can say is its the PDM (wireless head unit)
i have lost control of my diabetes.
and lost faith in the OMNIPOD system.

I am in talks with my diabetic nurse on what to do next.
back to pens for me :(

that is such a nightmare -- really sorry you are having these problems -- will you try another pump ?

Hi @MarkBuxton have you thought about trialling a tubed pump to see how you get on with it. I have the opposite view to you today although it took me some years to accept a tubed pump because I original had your view too. I did trial an Omnipod for three months and must say it got in the way much more than a tubed pump, I found I could move the tubed one or take it off which is something I could not do with a patch pump.

Sorry to see your having issues but please try other options and don't let your initial likes/dislikes put you off as you might well end up changing your mind. Good luck.
