Hi guys, I have just been given the next blood test results. After getting my HbA1c from 59 to 46 in three months,
I loved the LCHF diet it really suited me, I lost a stone and a half in weight and felt lots better
My skin healed a lot faster I still seemed to go to the toilet a lot but that was due to the amount of water I drank. My tiredness was gone and i felt in controll of my diabetes. I had made a life change. I spoke to a few people on here and got some good advice.
However I spoke to a very good doctor, who a few people will know, a doctor Yung, he told me my cholesterol was way to high and a small rise was usually what happened on the LCHF diet. He said I could be eating to much protein or that I needed to fast a few days a week.
If you watch his site on YouTube you will see what he says makes total sense.
I have decided to add a small amount of carbs to my diet as I was fasting and sticking to the Diet Dr's recipes. So i have just got my results back from my doctors just for my cholesterol it was 5.6 before I started the diet and 3 months later it was up at 10.7 and with the small amount of carbs added in about 3 weeks it has come down to 6.1, my glucose readings have risen to still a good figure of 7 however when I started the carbohydrates it went way up to 14-16 and seems to of settled down again.
I saw in a post from the Diet Dr's site today, that said 1 or 2 percent of the population due to genetics will have bad cholesterol on the LCHF, does anybody have this problem?
I feel I was very good on the diet but I got a bit frightened with my high cholesterol reading. Thanks.
