Exercise: work 50 -60 hours a week at the moment no time
That should be adequate for sugar control
Diet: have been told to eat carbs at every meal
So are we all, & most of us were obedient, thinking Drs & dietitians knew best. THEY DON'T :!: They also tell us that our diabetes will progress, & that every increasing medication will be the answer. The experience of many on this forum is that carb reduction is the key to good control. I followed that advice until complications set in. (Disabling leg muscle pains.) A year ago I reduced carb & my health was restored. My HbA1c has not changed much, but my health certainly has.
[Some on this forum are vehement in their defence of carbs, but we've all been there. In the early days of diabetes, I would have sided with them.]
I don't need carbs for energy - I still play a good game of tennis at club standard. I used to be very sleepy, needing to stop every hour when driving. Reduced carb has improved that condition.
Likes: food unfortunately, friends, family and movies when I get time
I enjoy my food, & never feel deprived by eating ample veg, cheese, meat, fish, fruit & only incidental carb.
