I’ve had pain under my ribs on the left side for almost a week now; honestly, I’m really scared. I went to the ER yesterday; the doctor ordered an abdominal ultrasound and gave me a Buscopan injection, which relieved the pain. I have an appointment for the ultrasound tomorrow morning, and I’m looking at an anatomical map of the human body: right in that area are the tip of the liver, the left kidney, the lungs, the stomach, the spleen, the large intestine, and the pancreas... I told the doctor I was terrified (imagining I might have cancer), but she asked me not to worry until I got the ultrasound results. All I know is that I feel very anxious today, and I’m sure my cortisol levels have skyrocketed. To be continued...
