Places and things that are pronounced differently to their spelling

In bits of Buckinghamshire, where I had family, some of the older generation pronounced Cows, " Kays" :facepalm:
Arkansas :- Ar Kan Saw ( and, I can saw too, with the right wood cutting tool)

Shrewsbury --

Is it "shrews" as in taming of one? Or "shro" as I have heard it pronounced somewhere sometime?
 
Irish girls name :-Aisne becomes " Onya"

Got to be lots more like that, especially Scots, Irish and Welsh.

Beaufort --

BYOO-furt or BOE-furt depending on which Beaufort is meant
