I would completely ignore the keto part, and just keep doing what you are doing.I need to feel that I know what I'm doing and keto is another world entirely to me! I need to stay in my comfort zone with everything.
People can get ketones even if they're fasting for half a day, it's completely normal to sometimes have ketones and sometimes not, and never know about it.
This whole ketosis thing is only relevant if you're actively trying to do so (which you're not). It really doesn't matter whether you have ketones or not, it's not something to aim for, nor something to avoid.
I eat pretty low carb (some days more so than other days) and I've never wondered if I could be in ketosis, why would I?
