Pseudohypoglichemia

First hello to all .

I had some really bad symptoms of hypoglichemia.

I was really surprised when I measured my sugar level in that state and it was normal.

I have done it few times and it was always normal.

I am on a diet to loose some weight and I am only eating in the morning but I eat a lot. I am on a that diet for quit some time.

In a last few weeks I wake up with terrible hypo symptoms with normal blood sugar.

I will stop the diet and hope that will help but what is the problem with my health

No one here can diagnose you. Please see a doctor.

Sorry I forgot to write then when I eat all those symptoms go away.

I am just asking for an opinion, I know that I cant be diagnosed on forum.

Thank you

I reiterate what Diakat says, it could be a multitude of things. All we can do is suggest you see your dr.

It is not hunger,

I have peoblem thinking in those state , cold sweat, like I am going to faint, heart rate faster. I have 90 percent hypo symptoms but always my blood sugar is normal.

My grandma ( she has diabetes type 2) has few kits so I took one. She told me it is hypo, but it is not.

Your blood glucose level is normal so you are not suffering hypoglycaemia.

As to false hypo plus other symptoms...

please see your health care professionals as these symptoms could fit a myriad of conditions.

I concur with the others.

Even if you do have hypos, hypo symptoms and are struggling with your diet, the first step is your doctors. Only a series of tests can diagnose you, with whatever it is. And only a doctor can get you that series of tests.

If you need dietary advice, as it seems yours is very restrictive, then give us an idea of what you are having, maybe, someone can advise you how to improve your prospects of losing weight without the drastic measures you are taking.

Best wishes and welcome to the forum

Just a question, where did you come up with psuedohypoglycaemia?
Never heard of this before!

But I've heard of idiopathic post prandial syndrome!

Which is what you are describing, but, ease do see a doctor, because it could be a lot of different things!

Sorry I have not responded earlier.

I had this attack first time some 2.5 years ago.

I started to feel nervous, sweating.....

I intended to go to hospital because this thing lasted for lets say 2 hours.
Then I drank chocolate milk and went to normal mode in a few minutes.

Next time and all time I had this I have checked my blood sugar and it was normal but food settles me down.

I have found pseudohypoglichemia articles online.

There are lots of diagnoses when you can get symptoms of hypoglichemia but the most common one is that your body is adapted to higher measures of blood sugar and reacts when your sugar lowers but it is abowe levels of standard hypo.

It is strange to me that food calms me.

Have you made an appointment with your doctor yet?

Could it be that your sugars are going high without you noticing and then suddenly dropping to normal? I’d recommend testing your levels 1 hr after eating, then a while after that to see what’s happening

I’m having similar issues with pseudo hypos and they are much eased by eating several small meals throughout the day, rather than one big breakfast, but I would absolutely echo everyone else’s advice and go and see your doctor to find out what’s going on.
