County Durham and Darlington NHS trust have a new order process witch if I run out of pods. batteries.before this I could phone up omipod and it would be here the next day but since the change in ordering I now have to wait up to 2 weeks withch I wasn't told about till I tred to order the hospital asked me to phone in a weeks time if had not received them. it's like I have bought something on ebay and its hasn't come .not urgent medical equipment what I need to live and have to signe for . I feel this new way is putting my health and life at risk and to said consumables can only be ordered mon/fri between 9-11am

that is strange........do they have a stock pile of stuff maybe............

medtronic have an online shop that you order from and my clinic request that your order 3 months supplies in order to keep there books right.........

Some pump users have to order from hospitals... Some in NI and Cambridge. Its purely for budgetting purposes. They should have told you.

Both the Omnipod Rep and my DSN said that before you get down to your last box of pods you should reorder them, so you should never have to get down to your last pod before requesting more, so do get this sorted asap.

Been in touch with the hospital .it's been in a week and it's just been approved today and I have to wait another week for them to come. in the mean time if I run out I have to go to the hospital to see if they have any laying a round.when I open my last box of pods I order new ones but I have gone through them quicker because of tech probs with pods and pda

What problems have you had Lesley if you don't mind my asking?

If you have problems with the pods then ring up the company and tell them so. They should then replace the faulty pods free of charge so the NHS doesn't pay from them.

I had real probs with the pda when the battery level got to low and the pods wouldn't connect

Change the batteries before they get too low, also when you do a pod change you have to have the pod and the PDM side-by-side for them to connect, it comes up with a communication error on the screen if you don't.
