I have recently had my yearly review for my diabetes and my bloods have gone up. My HB1ac reading has gone up from 56 to 61, but my cholestoral has come down from 7 to 4,7.
My diet is good I am don't over indulge in anything other than a few beers. My previous results have been around 50ish so I am puzzled as to why they have started to increase.
I am on glimpiride 2mg tablets, which my doctor wants to increase but I am reluctant but I can see them doing so. The statins that I am on pravastatin are the only ones that don't give me any side effects, I think the fact that I have given up red meat has also helped with cholestoral going down.
I am open to suggestions and ideas, I read all sorts from various different places and I do try to keep to a low carb diet. I read somewhere that eating in smaller periods of time may actually help has anyone got any experience of that?
Thanks in advance
