Yes, the values are correct, the porridge is a no go ;)
But 12.3 is not horrible. So no worries.
12.3mmol might not be a medical emergency it it’s way too high 2 hrs after eating for what I’m assuming is a non medicated a type 2 and will be harm of the long slow burn variety instead. It’s going to take some time to drop to a decent level too. Damage from high blood glucose significantly increase about 7.8mmol (why they set the diagnostic levels there).

I don't know if you're diabetic or not.

Those sorts of numbers would be completely unacceptable to me and I would certainly not be eating that sort of food again. If you want to eat that food and think that figures around 9.7-12.3 are acceptable that's a matter for you. You should expect, assuming these results are typical of your blood glucose levels over three months, an HbA1c result in the 60-80 region - definitely diabetic.

I have two meals a day. Use Treshiba (6 units per 24 hrs) and before earch meal 9 units of Novorapid.
I spike to 11-12 (sometimes 13 and sometimes 10) and my HbA1c = 43
Hospital folks are quite happy, and yes, so am I. ;)

@Nodemus , from your other threads I take you're on insulin, plus you have recurrent pancreatitis attacks, is that right?

Medication and type of diabetes are essential information for a question like this. It would be helpful if you filled out your profile information or included the information in your questions.
As you can see, replies are vastly different depending on what type of diabetes the one replying has, and depending on the medication they use.

So it looks like the porridge didn't raise you that much so the insulin seems to be working pretty well to deal with this meal.
But the baseline is on the high side at 9.7, and your meal pushed it higher.

What type of insulin do you use?

Fixed doses of insulin for a LADA is a very different situation than a diet controlled type 2. To get that sort of hba1c you must be spending most of your day at a decent ish level or having hypos. And staff are notoriously unambitious in their targets and accepting that we will all deteriorate over time (probably because of these unambitious targets). Also with insulin use they are far more scared of hypos than hypers. Not a concern for most type 2.

I maintain I wouldn’t be happy spiking that high, but you do you. We all have different goals and expectations.

edit. I see perhaps the poster might be an insulin user So may have different considerations to me.
