Are all lancets single use or do you guys sometimes use them more than once?

Lancets need only changing when getting blunt (they hurt more) or if they are being used by different people.
My current one has been in use over a year, but I am only testing once day. I used to change them every three months or so

I only ever change mine when it starts to hurt or if someone else wants to use my meter. My current one has been in use for around four months, I also don't test as often as I used to.
I will pick a few days every month to check that my levels are where I want them, so I must have got through something like 200 strips on the one lancet.
It's not making my eyes water yet, it will probably last another month or so.

The advice is to change it every time you use it. Once used it's no longer sterile and you risk introducing infection with every subsequent use. Plus, even though it will continue to penetrate the skin, after a few uses the tip will become hooked and cause more damage than a fresh one as it withdraws. And damage to your fingertips when you are at risk of neuropathy is not what you want.

Once a week, me!
No wonder my fingers have fell off! Ha!

Don't think my fingers will ever hurt again, it must be about a million, million times I've pricked my little pinkie on my left hand, by the way, the only one without arthritis! Funny that!

As long as your hands are clean, and no one else has used the monitor......!
I think about a week will do. And I test four times a day around my two meals!

It is often said that needles should be changed on St Swithins Day but some change theirs on 29th February.
I may not be as extreme as that but I definitely use lancets more than once. I have been doing this for nearly 20 years and my fingers are still intact.

I dont need to test anymore but for some reason i cant let go of the monitor i am always anxious about what my levels are and i need to put trust in myself sometimes even when i eat good and low carb i still dont trust my body to be cool. The nurse was saying its not a bad thing im testing but maybe i should do it less frequently instead

Same here. I pick days when I've eaten something naughty the day before, or eaten healthily the day before. Or if it's the morning after a heavy exercise day.
