Hi everyone

I know this is a long way off yet but next September it's my 25th birthday also known as 'crisis year' lol and I want to organise everything as soon as!

I'm wanting to do a skydive and any money I raise I want to give to something close to my heart... Diabetes!

Do I need an official fundraising thing or can I just collect up the money and send it off?

I think you can just collect money but most people set up an official "just giving" page or similar which is linked to your charity. This can then be linked to the forum or a Facebook page if you have one so gets you a wider audience. Great idea though ! Good luck ! I'll certainly sponsor you !

JDRF are on both Virgin Money Giving and Just Giving. I think they get a better proportion of the take from the Virgin site which only has a one-off fee, whereas Just giving charge a % or everything owned.

It's the big 40 for me next year, watch this space

Ok thanks everyone! I'll def look into setting up something, like I said it's not until September but I want to book it as soon as so it's done and I don't have time to think about it and jelly legs don't appear haha!! :) x
