Rant - Diabetic Friendly ....NOT

I always find that eating any diabetic chocolate makes it all end up like onion gravy.....

I'd much rather have a bit of real chocolate and allow for it

I'd always have chosen the onion gravy over chocolate.
Never been a chocolate lover.

A very good friend of mine who is what they used to call a 'brittle diabetic' still insists that she must have good carbs with every meal which she does, high quality bread etc, however, she also has cakes every day and DIABETIC TOFFEE every day as well. She does not understand why she has an upset stomach and why her sugar levels go up and down like a yo yo! I have tried and tried........

One good thing my diabetic nurse did tell me was to avoid thing s labelled "diabetic food" like the plague, but apparently this prohibition didn't include eatwell plates....

PS I was a once-a-year candy floss freak and always without fail treated myself to a stick at our local agricultural show.
