I thought I wouldn't be the only one to find this interesting, so here's a link. Can't remember if you need an account to read this, if so, it's easy and free to make one or I can copy paste it here if needed.

I am a believer that gastric emptying is also important in dietary treatment of endocrine conditions. In my case, my weak initial insulin response, causes rapid gastric emptying, which increase the likelihood of Hyperglycaemia, of course the more carb laden, less saturated fats and proteins, the higher the spike and the higher individual secondary insulin response.
How quickly your metabolism reacts to rapid glucose dumping then the insulin response dictates your health. The slowly damaging risk of roller coaster bloods will continue to have a bearing on insulin resistance, insulin levels, the rising glucose levels.
A condition called gastric dumping is a form of reactive hypoglycaemia, the gastric emptying is so quick, that the inevitable imbalance in hormones, namely, insulin along with many others, causes many symptoms typical of Hypoglycaemia.
The individual treatment usually dietary, must find the balance, that works for them.
More research is needed, not only for type one, but for all endocrine conditions.
The gut brain trigger is so important, as is the gut bacteria, how healthy your gut is, the better your metabolism works.
You have an inbuilt automated natural digestion process. Anything that disrupts this process, will effect your health. The speed of gastric emptying is prevalent in this.
