Do you still have mild hypo's every day Brun? My bg seems much more stable now but still get symptoms. Before breakfast and before dinner seem to be my worst times.
Nope.
Now that I have sorted my diet (it REALLY is KEY for me) I only ever get mild hypos, maybe 3x a month. And they are so mild they are hardly worth the name.
- and they are ALWAYS my fault.
- if I have gone too long without food, or I ate the wrong thing
- or I am tired and stressed - and failed to compensate with food
My danger points have always been late morning (when my DP drops if I didn't eat breakfast) or just before my evening meal, if it is delayed, or I didn't organise food properly earlier in the day.
So, don't worry! It is possible. But it has taken me a looong time to learn all of this. I started having hypos at around 4 years old. Went lowish carb in my teens. PRogressed to low carb in my 20s/30s. and only went VLC 2 years ago. I am now 48.
It is a long learning curve, but worth it!
