Thankyou so much for replying. Im im scotland and since its a bank holiday weekend I will 100% be finding a replacement Gp on Tuesday. Ive been overwhelmed and upset more because of the way Ive been treated I think..it really wasnt proffessional at all.
Ive been getting in a panic because of the intensity of the migraines every time my blood goes up. Ive been getting readings varying between 16 and 21...thats at 2 hours after eating. So Ive literally been starving myself trying to keep them down (not that that will do me any harm)
I appreciate you taking the time to reply...sometimes a little acknowledgment is enough to make is seem okay
I'm very sorry that you're going through this and yes please get a second opinion or a different doctor. You don't need to starve yourself, maybe look into a high protein or high fat low carb diet. Which will mean no rice, breads, pasta, any potato and certain fruits, sauces and drinks. Up until you find the right help and diagnosis.Thankyou so much for replying. I'm sorry you've felt like you haven't had the support of your GP. You will find this forum wonderfully supportive. I find eating sensibly (LFHC) helps stabilise my blood sugars, while fasting elevates them. Eating will also help you feel better. You will get to the bottom of it with a second opinion, I'm sure of.
Cheers. Is that a typo? LFHC??? I hope so!
This has all been so helpful already. I dont know why but Ive been thinking low carb would also means low fat...seems obvious now but my heads been jumping all over google from one bit of info to the next. So meat eggs olives and cheese it is. What about nuts and seeds are they okay?
I will continue to cut the carbs for now and register with a new Gp tomorrow.
Thankyou again for all your advice
