Hi, everyone. I was diagnosed last year almost to the day with type 2.

From that day i have been on a low carb diet and intermittent fasting.

My next HB1ac test was 34 and my daily finger prick tests were never above 8. So i was in good control.

Over the last couple of weeks i've seen my tests go up and down. As high as 10 and at the weekend I had a bit of a hypo as it dropped to 3.9.

I'm not on any medication and have controlled via diet.

The only thing that has happened recently is i gained a stone of weight but recently (lockdown diet impact) but i'm back on track and losing weight again.

Has anyone else experienced anything similar? Any idea what is happening?

I've also checked my blood pressure and it is a little elevated.

What’s changed in your maintenance plan, diet, exercise, stress?

Are you actually sure that you are T2? Did you ever have a c-peptide test done? On the other hand, weight gain might increase insulin resistance and so might a reduction in exercise....

Hi, there are no recent major changes.

In the early days of lockdown my diet went a little off the rails but i've got that back on track.

Apart from that the only difference is i'm doing the early shift and waking up to feed / change the baby.

I'm still working from home and no additional stress, if anything it is alot less than before.

Docs said i was type 2 after a high hb test last year, i've not had a c-peptide test.

I was doing exercise but that stopped in november when my daughter was born so not a recent thing.
