Regular moderate exercise log

old dears - remind us all again of your age - aren't you with me in the over 60s "special" class?

They are old dears, bless them. I’m obviously not!
I wonder at what age do we start to consider ourselves old? Probably never.

I love that song - stops me in my tracks every time I hear it.
Good luck with the cunning plan.

@DJC3 iow they are 10 and you are 30? No wonder they remember the exercises lolol. You're right, that's a good way both to get moving and become a familiar face while gathering new familiar faces. Friendly is allllways good! I do wish I had time for those long walks while at home... sigh....
@johnpol you will have a big cheering section enjoying it vicariously with you!
@ianpspurs and djc3 I have been old since the night after we adopted our second child ..... I was 38. Haven't gotten younger, but my looks have caught up to the outlook so I am now a proud senior citizen on the downhill side of official US senior citizenry.
Bfast more thawed avocado mush, needed a little extra mayo to hide that "not perfect" taste, spoon of pnut butter and 2 sq 90% choc (had those yesterday too but forgot to record), still working on DWGoatM. Rise of 1.0 today (yesterday less sleep and rise of .6... go figure). Still up at 3 hr but since I didn't even finish the choc until 2 hr, I expected that. I am not going to gobble my chocolate, so there!
Late lunch yesterday was 3 large olives. May repeat today. BG's were nicely into normal territory several hours after that.
Supper another 2-parter. I felt sick after last night's second supper (after Barre class, worked abs to death) which had had nearly a liter of water dumped in before it. Will keep second supper after ballet VERY small tonight. So, 1)cheese? Boiled egg? With pecans probably. 2)a buttered or oiled flax muffin if I get them made now. Need fiber!!!!

Managed to reach 13.3k steps (other issues prevent me wandering far) along with about 80 mins pushing lawnmower around. May is not starting any better than April ended but hey, I'm still here.

Lol I just noticed I posted me meals here, not where I thought!
@ianpspurs one day at a time...
one mile friendly pace walk before breakfast, uuuup the hill, dowwwwn the hill. Lovely out in the morning coolth.
Tonight a very fun ballet class.
Tomorrow I hope to walk 5 miles total, see if I can improve my ankles, which had got skinny after all the vacation walking but swelled up again the second I sat down on the bus for the 2 and a half hour trip to catch the plane. Sigh.

Bench press last night 125kg, not brilliant as I have got cellulitis on my nose and cheeks, all swollen up and feeling terrible. Just what you need 8 days out

@johnpol that’s a b****r have you got antibiotics yet? Hope it clears soon. I’ve never known it on someone’s face before, it must be awful.

10.5k steps today, mostly spent on a lovely accidental coastal walk. ( I was aiming for the fireplace shop but took a wrong turning and got distracted by the view so stopped and had a stroll - I really love being retired) It was only 2.5 miles round trip but some bits were very steep so did my leg muscles some good hopefully.
@zauberflote hope your ankles slim down again after the travelling. @ianpspurs hope your tum has settled - I sent off for one of those gel seats for the exercise bike today so thanks for the tip.

11.5k steps today and so far no gastric issues. 3 litres of water to drink 1.5 of them with 0 cals and carbs electrolyte tablets. Let's see what tomorrow brings. @DJC3 are you getting padded shorts as well?

No, I doubt I’d bother to put them on - I really don’t enjoy the cycling and even a small thing like having to put extra clothes on to do it, would be an excuse not to get on the bike- wish I was more motivated but no point kidding myself. At least with the seat I can put it on and leave it so that when I can bring myself to do a 15 minute session it wont be a palaver.

@johnpol oh no! I hope this will not impact your performance.
No 5 miles today At All. Had a very rough night, so spent the day slowly. 2 gentle miles, one after breakfast and the other just now as I begin the bedtime routine. Second was faster and much easier. Sat with feet up several hours. Baked a pound cake to ripen for a Sunday double birthday party for son and dil (born within 5 days of each other!) and sat with feet up some more. Perhaps tomorrow 5 miles.

On antibiotics 4grms a day. I've had cellulitis on my nose and cheeks before and it's as painful as I remember, so is the feeling ill, hopefully I'll be OK for the comp

Topped 13k steps today and apparently went up 22 flights of stairs according to my phone - actually it was a lovely and, in places very steep walk through magical woodland in Luxulyan Valley ( near the Eden Project). Daughter had recommended an app called Iwalk Cornwall and it is brilliant. Loads of really good walks at different ability levels. Didn’t see a soul the whole 3.5 mile round trip - missed having a dog though.

I’ve got my fingers crossed for you, and sending hugs too.

Two one-milers today. The afternoon did not go at all as hoped; had a Mom glasses-broken emotional emergency, not to mention getting new ones as her spares are not currently findable. LensCrafters near me came through PERFECTLY, and I'll have an inexpensive "good enough" replacement for her by tomorrow evening! Hurray!

Just about to wander off for my one proper day off this weekend (Bank Holiday Monday is going to be full of a rare catch up on Main Paid Work paperwork at home - and I need to do a bit of a church paperwork catch up as well.)

I am, however, totally up to date on all my walking targets, (no, this is not why I need to do the paperwork catch-up, it's just That Time Of Year when it all clashes and everyone wants everything yesterday.)

In fact, I'm off to celebrate 10,000 miles worth of walking since I began recording it all in the desperate attempt to control blood sugars in the mis-diagnosed T2 days, (worked until it didn't) and the fact I've kept it up since being on insulin without more than the occasional mild hypo whilst out on my immoderate amounts of walking!!

Hope the hectic weekend is kind to you. Both our work and church life are hugely important to your from what you write plus they are both important to others. Your walking is inspirational but take care and be kind to yourself. PBWY in all you do.

Thank, @ianpspurs, that's kind.

It's actually all being kinder as well as less hectic than expected and after yesterday's almost marathon amount of walking, I've been much more moderate today, with my leg muscles thanking me for that!!

Yesterday was 11.3k steps and 20 mins lawn mowing - ticking over day. Today was 12k steps, 40 mins grass cutting and 30 mins exercise bike. No proper HIIT in there but some sprints - testing for a proper go soon.
