Not been on here for a while but I have still been doing stuff.
Pre Christmas went to see and ortho specialist as I've been having foot pains. Xrays showed bone spurs and degenerating big toe joints, but not yet suitable for the risk of surgery. Orthotics will be trialled.
Also been suffering shin splits, so rested between Christmas and new year, with a new years Eve 10k race. Target off poor training was a modest 45min, f*****g windy, came in at a disappointing 45:43, but still 146/566 and 19th age group.
With a reduction in running imminent,
- Weights on Saturday - that hurt
- got out on the bike yesterday and got a bit wet at the end, but got 71km in in 2hrs 35, and on only 45g extra carbs. The low carb diet seems to be working.
