its been many a year since Ive as much as sniffed a banana having had high (mid teen) spikes in the past but Inhave been intrigued for a while by the findings regarding resistant starch and have been tempted to see what effect an under ripe banana would have, but haven't been brave enough to try it out - until today!
After spending the morning jetwashing the front drive ( shows what madness a bit of sun can encourage), I consumed a green (ish) banana - sugars started off at 4.7 the 1 hr result was 4.4 and the 2hr 5.9
Dont think Ill be rushing out and eating loads of bananas, but its nice to find out that bananas / plantain, are able to feature in the dietary mix

Man v Banana! You won!!!!!!

Resistant starch is very good for you.
Whereas all the other starches in food are not!

I actually started a thread about finding an article on starch and how it effects you.
The thread is called Starch Trek.

Best wishes.
