Retinopathy results

I had my results today, so that's good:
"Your photographs showed no retinopathy"

Less good is that I've been wasting strips by not giving them enough blood to test, but I picked up some tips on another thread.

But when I've been testing, I've been getting around 5 before meals and about 7 two hours after, so that seems okay.

My weight loss has appeared to have stalled as well, which isn't great.

But I'm looking at the positives.

@IanBish well done! You really are doing well it seems. I wouldn't worry too much about your weight stalling as it seems to often occur, and then suddenly start again. I stayed on one number of my scales once for over a week!!! However the few weeks previously I'd lost a stone in a three week period of time!

Well done. Don't worry too much about short-term stalling. I found that my weight loss wasn't steady - it seemed to go in steps. I also lost much more weight over the winter than through the summer, without changing anything.

Thank you - although I didn't really do anything.

I know that weight doesn't come off uniformly. However, the needle nudged in the right direction this morning. So I'll take that as a tiny win.

That’s great news! What kind of test did you have?

I realise this thread has been resurrected but I am going to hijack it with a query?
My retinopathy test a year ago showed “signs of diabetes related retinopathy.”
This year’s test a month ago showed “no signs of diabetes related retinopathy.”
Does that mean your eyes can heal if you get your diabetes under control?

Yes it does!

Yes, my results said the same. Low carb has made my retinopathy heal

A few years ago I was told at my annual review that I had the start of retinopathy , My control didn't change and at my next annual review and ever since then I have been told my eyes were perfect with no retinopathy at all , I wonder wether they healed or as we all do someone made a mistake .

I could clearly see on the images they take that there is a difference between this year’s and the last one. I just wasn’t aware that one’s eyes could heal. I wish it was the same for the folk who have lost limbs or parts thereof due to diabetes.
