I started Rybelsus in Jan combined with metformin but had digestive issues so decreased metformin. Just had follow up labs and they are bad. Fasting glucose, A1C and triglycerides went up.no weightloss,

I see endocrinologist next week. She had mentioned Jardiance as an option last visit. I was worried about UTI. I was reading and it says not to eat low carb high fat with Jardiance due to ketoacidosis risk.

I started a new job recently and am stress eating. I am trying to reign that in.

My wife has started rybelsus last month.
As I do her drugs daily, it was stressed that the rybelsus should be taken on an empty stomach, at least four hours previous without food or drink. And taken with water with no other tablets or food or anything else but water for at least half an hour.
It might be the metformin itself causing the issues, or it could be you need the SR version of metformin.
Are you restricting your carbs and sugars?
It could be you do need further reductions to help with your BG levels.

If you get your meds changed, then someone can give you more advice.

Best wishes.

I take Rybelsus, I follow the instructions for taking it to the letter. I have taken it since January and am lucky enough to get no side effects. My weight has been dropping slowly and my blood sugars remain in the normal range. I do however eat a low carb diet, no more than 40g per day, which I believe is the major contributor to my success.
Can you pls tell us what you eat in a typical day and what your HbA1c numbers are, that would maybe help us more with some suggestions to help?

I take Jardiance and have not had to pee more, but I drink a lot more. I have had no uti or thrush. Doctor says it’s because my blood sugars have been in good range ( not too many carbs)
