Advice needed .... please
I have developed a persistent itch on my upper body, mainly on my face and lower arms ...
I feel as though I want to scratch my face off and I often leave sores and draw blood ...
from scratching ... is this related to diabetes at all?
I was diagnosed border line a few weeks ago.

Hi.

It could be, then again it could be down to a multitude of things. Could even be an allergic reaction to something, such as washing powder or even food etc.

You need to discuss this with your GP ASAP.

soaps on telly and people talking about the characters as if they were real.
See the doctor
It doesn't have to be diabetes related. Do you by any chnce have dry skin and been in a chlorinated swimming pool? that would do it. Or is it in places exposed to the sun? You can be alergic to UV. Make an appointment and in the meantime get some antihistamine. Don't scratch. You may infect yourself and 2 things that are diabetes related are easy infection and slow healing

I agree with the others...

And moisturise. Use something pretty bland, such as E45 and oilatum or similar in the bath or shower.

Also - how well hydrated are you? You need to drink 1.5 litres of water a day minimum.
