havent tested my blood for a few days because im sick of pricking my fingers
My readings last week before metmorfin were between 8.2 and 9.2
Im using this Contour next

Now i started metmorfin last week and tonight i decided to prick my finger after dinner and its reads 3.9 ??

Im thinking geez thats lower than lower, i will test it again later but is that possible, im only on 500 grams of metmorfin a day,do u think the blood testing gadget is not working?

Have you cut your carb intake?
Reducing your carbs will have a much greater effect than one tablet of metformin. :)

If ever I get an unexpected reading, I always recheck it, high or low. I don’t wipe my finger til the number has popped up on my meter just incase I need to repeat it. I got a 2.6 the other day which was clearly incorrect, retested straight way to get 5 point something which was far more expected.

In the last 10 days i have stayed off chocolate....yum....:hungry:

Burger king, mcdonalds ,ice cream, fruit juices, energy drinks,
I miss my 3 packets of tim tam biscuits everyday

I miss my powdered cappuccino mint coffee sachets

I miss my big mac burgers and thickshakes
I hope my reading is real but i will check it again later

I start crying when i prick my finger though,:arghh: but i now prick it on the side of the finger rather than the front where i started doing that hardly any blood came out plus i got a sore finger so always go for the sides and sides of thumbs are good they bleed a bit better:) hope thats a tip for newbies

Got to ask...what are Tim tam biscuits?

Tim tams are chocolate flavoured biscuits ,buy them at Coles or Woolies for $2 a packet
They have different flavours, use to have them with my cappucino mint coffee

Now im drinking tea with no sweets at all :(

Tim Tam Biscuits are a favourite amongst Australians. They are available in a variety of chocolate flavours. I think from memory they are 45678 grams of sugar per biscuit. Maybe slightly more. I think one or two is enough to supply the energy needs of a small African nation - not just food needs - the entire energy needs.

Mmmmmm they look delicious:yuck:

We used to be able to get Tim Tams in the U.K. I used to bite diagonal corners off then suck hot coffee through the biscuit. The trick was then to eat it before it fell apart in a delicious gooey mess! :hungry:

Got to ask...what are Tim tam biscuits?
The Australian version of Penguins.

tim+tam+penguin

I must be weird - an Aussie who always thought Tim Tams were ghastly - even back in the days of eating biscuits!
I'm not fussed on them either, my partner eats them tho'.

We must be expecting cold weather in Bundy, shelves stocked high with chocolate biscuits in the stores.

How anyone could eat 3 packets a day of tim tams ... that's what ... 27 biscuits?

There's 11 Timtams in a packet, which makes them impossible to share equally in any family setting, so they are the secret stash, eat on the loo biscuits of choice for the mothers of Australia.
@Australiadiabetic2 - Alternate your fingers.. use both sides, and don't forget you also have another handful of fingers to use. Also change your pricker frequently - when they get blunt, they seem to hurt more. Mine are $16 for 100 stabbers, so not a huge cost consideration.
