I am a member of this . I originally joined because the data it seemed to provide replicated my " balanced diet" pc based progam which I used for years to record my faithful adherence to the low fat diet that was killing me.

The diet tried to kill me again last summer , I'd been very successfully doing it for a month . losing 6 kilo and sending my blood sugar into the stratosphere last summer at the point I was diagnosed.
The outfit used to be owned by Sainsbury before being sold to Nutracheck . It is currently the largest diet plan provider in the UK

Last week I went back on the site and ran a couple of their daily recommended diets through my cronometer
the results were shocking carbs galore , almost no fats - right at the extreme end of mortality risk according to the pure study .
This is the FEEL FULLER LOW CARB PLAN
Food in your larder
Fresh Fruit, Vegetables, Salad & Herbs
Fresh Ready Meals, Pizza, Soups & Delicatessen Foods
Dairy, Eggs, Milk & Fresh Juice
Bread, Bakery & Cereals
Food Cupboard (tins, cans, jars, packets, crisps, snacks & long life items)
Lunchtime Foods (buy fresh daily)

if you come across anyone who is diabetic and who has this program, please, please encourage them to look elsewhere 1

I am following Jamie Eason live fit 12 week trainer as its aimed at people who want to loose weight and tone up.
Her videos are good too, and like she teaches you about eating 6-8 small meals aday but it must b clean foods (as clean as possible)
And whats even better is the meal plans are designed for athletes etc but is very low in carbs and high in protien.
U will need to weight train to build muscle but it also brings blood sugar down.
This program, i feel should be promoted more because it perfect for diabetics and your overall health factors

I am not finding this diet alarming . I would just change to the full fat versions of everything, skip the pasta and the cereal and the banana, add more greens and veggies and eggs,

Well yes so would I :) in other words you would do a totally different diet ! that's because we both know more about the problems associated with eating low fat, pasta and cereals and that eggs and green vegetables are good !

Does "clean food" include bacon?

Hi. Not a good diet. You need to keep the carbs down and have enough protein and fat to keep you feeling full. What you have been given is pretty well the usual NHS/PHE Eat(un)well Plate which is why we have so much obesity around.

From what i can see any thing that flys or swims.
However as long as bacon is not prepacked or has extra ingedients from a chemistry lab i sure you will be ok

Hmm 6-8 meals a day does't give your body a rest from producing insulin which is not a great thing for Type 2's. So along with some of the starchy things included in the diet and eating too often personally I wouldn't follow this regime.

The 6-8 to meal is more based on if want to train like an athlete.
I eat 4-5 meals aday which is enough for me
High protein
Low carb
Eating as clean as poss meat fruit and veg etc but its more berries and bananas rather than oranges or big sugary fruit.
And now drinking plenty of water and working out 4-5 times aweek.
For me, im just trying out this diet and it seems to be working as my BS is dropping from 20mmol to 11mmol (which is still high) but i guess we shall have to see as still got 2 more weeks before my first 4weeks are up
There is sooooo many different diets out there its knowing were to start as im still a newbie and still learning

I try to eat once or twice a day and follow a similar diet (without the bananas, too sugary) . Do you keep a food diary? Do you know how many grammes of carb you eat per day?

I eat ketogenic.. less than 20g of carbs per day no breakfast so max 2 meals a day.
Pretty high fat so no hunger issues maybe a bit too much protein although it doesn't seem to have an effect on my blood sugars and pretty enjoyable to be honest.
Just out of Curiosity how many calories do u think u have a day?

I know pretty exactly as I keep a pretty detailed food diary.. usually somewhere between 2,000 to 2,500 rarely up to 3,000 and when I was doing my bacon and eggs "newcastle diet" fewer than 800..
My average since 18 Feb when I started keeping a detailed diary is 2,253 per day. Lowest was a water fast day when it was zero.. highest I can see is about 4k
