Type 2 Shift worker

I have just recently been told I have diabetes type 2 and in my time have done a lot of shift work I was just wondering how many on here type 2 that have done shift work ?
 
Not me, but working shifts/irregular hours has been linked to T2. Our bodies get out of whack some. Is there anything in particular you need help with?
 
No I read this could cause it , but to be honest I know myself I have led an unhealthy lifestyle ,but I was just curious how many people on here fell into that category.
 
Me! I worked permanent nights for 18 years (having switched between earlies, lates and nights for 18 years before that), then 9 months after retiring I was diagnosed with type 2. I have read there is a link too :(
 
I do shift work. Always have done. Didn’t know there was a link between it tbh. Doesn’t surprise me though. End up eating at ridiculous times and often the wrong stuff too!!
