I haven't ever been on here much so apologies if I am not posting correctly, please correct me if I am doing something wrong.
I have had type 2 diabetes for the last three years, until last year my levels were very low around 48-50, they increased last year to 55 and I have just had my latest HBA1C which is now 72. I admit I kind of stick my head in the sand and don't want to accept what I have and I forget to take my metformin (on two a day twice a day) I do not have the best diet and don't follow any low carb diet but I think with that reading this morning my eyes have been woken up and I now feel I need to start to look after myself or I will get very poorly. I haven't been to see a nurse about this reading yet the receptionist just read it out over the phone. Can someone please advise me what my first steps should be now and also am I at risk of having to inject insulin?
