I was diagnosed with T2 2 years ago, did really well and reversed on a low carb diet - off metformin and really happy. For various reasons (including perhaps a little arrogance) I fell off the wagon and am back on the meds. A couple of weeks ago I had a quick 10 minute review with an agency nurse at the practice who just couldn’t wait to get me out the door! I’m back on my low carb but want some advice. Do you think I should invest in a Blood glucose monitor? And if so, which one. My thinking is, if I see those figures regularly it’ll keep me on track and I’ll know what foods are working for me. What do you think?
Yes, even if you dont do it daily, or weekly, or only 3 monthly as myself, it all depends on your personal situation circumstances, if of any interest, I use the genteel tester its painless, look on Mr. google Geenteel. It gives you 6 choices of depths, as this suction method no pain, just a click allows one to test anywhere on the body, outer arm, inner arm, palm, thumb, finger, above knee whatever you prefer, its just great, I then after using this as prick to obtain blood, use the contour monitor, and stripes, also a good thing as a Tool only, in between any formal doc arrangement A1C is the A1C NOW home test kit, test the same as finger prick but give you a 3 month reading, have to say, todate, my home testing, A1C is on par more or less with the lab results, whether that works for others I dont know only speak from personal experience of this. These are two good tools to consider amongst others..
also, dont forget our wonderful

good luck, by the way great you reversed on low carb, especially as recently it has been noted that some medical professionals are saying it cannot be reversed unless one has surgery, your just another example, to add to the facts, that diet and exercise can reverse put in remission take excellence of control. Well done.
