I'm sure there's more.
Is the site running a bit iffy the last hour or is it because I'm using ****** microsft just now which I don't normally?

Yep! Iffy alright this afternoon! Navigating this place today reminds of the days of when I used to be on 51 KB dial up.

Thats what I'm experiencing!

Indeed iffy.. And using iphone..

there is coding/script issues that are causing it to load slowly, I'm back on a laptop and I have another page open and come back to the forum when it loads

It is fine for me now, but an hour ago it was very slow. I have noticed it often is between 5 and 6pm. Am on a PC.

Yes really iffy, me too, I'm doing other stuff while waiting, waiting, waiting......

Ahhh if it happens at the same times it might be when the system is set to make backups.

Possibly, or maybe when folk get in from work and log in, overloading the servers?
The forum software here is top of the range so I would imagine it's on big enough servers to cope with us lot but you never know ... it could actually be one of them under someones stairs in a wee tearraced house.

i'm on w8.1 ie11 and I just added the site to compatibility and it's improved
setting is in ie tools

been on for a while not noticed any slow down. May to do with the network routers across the internet between you and the server

It's fine now and became so soon as made the flaming thread!

Always seems to be slow around 5-6pm more than any other time, I think the forum is a victim of it's own success and struggles to cope with all the users on-line at any one time, often there's 1200 plus either logged on or viewing.

If it's anything like my Nokia phone then it's ****** Microsoft. Ever since upgrading phone to Windows 8.1 it's been playing up. Beginning to feel grateful theres no wondows ap for this site on windows.

What operating system does the space station use and the whole of NASSA?
Linux.
Do you think the worlds super computers would use Windows?
No.
They run Linux.
Like the military and the majority of mobile phomes ... Linux.
Me?
I use Linux Mint 17.
So much faster more stable.
None of this looking for drivers.
None of this downloading updates then installing them configuring them and then when the puter next starts none of all that configfuring again!
No Malware no anti virus no defragging no nothing.
Just the smoothest fastesT most stable operating system you can use ... and nowt much to learn either.
Free too. No registration/license numbers ... encouraged to make copies of it and give it away.
Great office soft ware great operating system ... why are so many people still with Microsoft?
