It is tough being diabetic, however, I think we all have discovered a snack that fits into our program that you can share with the rest of the group.

My favorite, cut some jalapeno cheese, spread some peanut butter on a celery stick and eat. Simple to the point and does kill my glucose. Plus it travels really good to work.

Please share your favorite, you know, some of the snacks just get boring and I would like to get a few other great ideas.

Some of my go to low carb snacks are, nuts, Hartleys 10 cal jellies (which also are low carb), Adonis nut and seed bars and PhD high protein bars.

Pork scratchings (although usually as a meal replacement rather than a "snack").

A slice of butter sprinkled with Maldon salt..

I recently started buying coconut oil and discovered the delights of bullet proof coffee. Nom nom for hours!

Rachox, thanks, I am going to look up the bars and give a try.

I do the same and add some full cream with a sprinkle of cinnamon on top. It is like dessert.

Walnuts
Almonds
Pecan nuts
Brazil nuts
Boiled eggs
Cheese
Fresh cut cucumbers, red peppers, celery, carrots
One small hard apple or pear
100% Lindt or Montezuma dark chocolates
Cavalier chocolates (sweetened with Stevia)
Pomegranate seeds
Olives
Salami wrapped in lettuce
Roast or Fried chicken

Waitrose do a snack pack of mini chorizo bites which are lovely. Chunk of cheddar wrapped in ham. Keep a bag of mini BabyBel in the fridge at school to avoid temptation of staff room cakes:)

Extra thick double cream with almond butter and broken up pieces of Hotel Chocolat 100% chocolate buttons.

I do this too - mix the double cream with peanut butter and it becomes like fudge. Add some liquid stevia and it is a v yummy dessert. :hungry:

Also melting a couple of the buttons in a ramekin and stirring thick cream in is delicious.

I like the sound of jalapeno cheese, I see from Google that Philadelphia make one, is it available in UK supermarkets?

I don't snack with food at all, I never have, but I do sometimes have a coffee with double cream. That is my breakfast and also my go-to comfort food. In fact, I'm going to make one now.

That is just a totally wicked idea. I have unsalted butter but when I stay with family it's salted. I think that's a magic idea to salt the butter when you want. Thanks @bulkbiker
