So, I'm a T1 & haven't done an injection in 14 months...!

I'm too scared to get the pump- i had a needle phobia for 7 years and got over it 2 years ago. I can only inject in my legs/ lower back of my butt but only there. I can't see the needle when I inject there. I'd love the pump if I knew more about it- but whenever I asked my doctors they just kinda scared me out of it. I do adventure sports (my main is climbing) so would it even be safe to get a pump?

Of course it would be safe :) there are loads of secure ways you can keep your pump on you.
If it's your doctor at your GP practise ask to be referred to a diabetes nurse at your local hospital, or phone your local hospital and ask to speak to the DSN, they will advise you and I imagine would arrange a time you can go in and have a look at what pumps they offer or let you know if there is a rep coming in at any time from a pump company :)

Alright thank you very much

Hey Dana
I wore pretty much all my sets from my pump in my bum cheeks for 5 years, I could put them in blind folded!!
I wore my actual pump on arm. Don't know many people that do this, but it was brilliant for me.

Everything is written in the past as I am too lean now and the sets don't like the fact I haven't got an ounce of fat... If it wasn't for that I could still be using it.. However I do actually prefer MDI as less faffing around.
