A true story about arm wrestling.

A colleague's 25 year old son was arm wrestling for fun about 12 months ago. He broke the large bone in his upper arm. He's had surgery 3 times and still doesn't have 100% use of his arm. It's getting there but it's a long haul. There was a point where the specialist advised he may lose quite a lot of use. :-(
OK, maybe I won't do it again.....I'd hate to break my son's arm ;)

So yesterday I was at music festival so not much exercise done. Bit if walking to and from venue then 8 hrs standing! Legs aching.

Today junior is home so mainly housework and running up and downstairs with his washing - he is disappearing again tomorrow as life too dull here and I think my nagging to actually get out of bed and shave etc is doing his head in. Apparently he likes his own space. Just done 21 minutes on bike then had to get off as bum was sore. I need my padding back.

More exercise than me cold ethyl....none  ......ricked my back when having the blitz on the flat yesterday, think I went a bit over the top, so I'm resting it today as I'm prone to sciatica and don't want it turning into that ...

Ive cheated a bit but I do have a sore arm. ..after midnight I walked 15 minutes to my car then today I walked 30minutes.

OK I haven't done any exercise today, and I don't expect to for a few days
Ok, I confess, I have done very little so far today too. Zand we seem to always mirror each other.

I have pottered about the garden in short bursts. Tried stepping up and down on the stairs, but only managed about 12 minutes. I am very sore and have no energy. I think this is payback for all the activity on Friday. Not going to feel guilty as I have had a very useful bit of dialogue here on forum. Tomorrow I will make up for lost time at the swimming pool.

Oooh, Pollylocks. Hope you soon feel better.

So, any more for the sick bay then? I think I will be over my skive tomorrow, and hope everyone else soon feels up to getting on with the activities soon too.

Sciatica sucks. Had it when my fibromyalgia was at worst and had to have chiropractor work me over. Still prone now so I feel your pain. Get better soon.

Stopped skiving, sort of. Got up late. Went for a swim. Managed 930 metres. 50 mins. Annoyed at inconsiderate bloke with child who decided to jump in and splash about getting in the way of lane swimmers. Just the women lane swimmers, even though there was more space elsewhere.

Had a twenty minute supermarket walk with trolley. Home for lunch then 2 x10 min walks down the road, then back after a sit down.

All this activity is making me hungry. I just realised too that I still haven't booked my induction to the specialist gym.

Doh!

Connie!!!!!! Where are you when I need you to cover for me??? Just till Friday.....oh, plleeeaassse;)

Hey @zand. I don't think skiving will be noticed at moment. Nobody else around. But do you really need cover? Bet you could do just a bit of walking, or stepping or pottering in garden.

ummmmm Apart from the stress that's almost paralysing me right now there's something else stopping me from exercising, and that's all I can say, sorry. I'll be back on Friday honest.

Ok don't panic I'm here ready to cover for you !!! I have been out round shops to buy some shoes to go with my new dress ( I found it in my wardrobe bought last year never got round to wearing it still had price ticket on it ) so I thought what I need is new shoes . Oh good show, @connie104 . A girl can never have too many shoes.

My husband says it's an illness ! I can't walk past a shoe shop ! Had to give up high heels a few years back so new ones have a small heel which I should manage ok
Heels? I don't have any heels, just trainers.:)
