Sporty Forty.e t

Just got back from Australia after 24 hour journey door-door. Too late to get back home tonight so I'm staying over near Heathrow. Apart from hoiking luggage to Paddington in the morning I won't be doing any exercise or much of anything tomorrow, but hopefully will get back into routine next week.

I've bought a mini stepper. I thought it would be useful during the winter months if weather is bad. It has bungee bands so I can exercise arms too if I want. :-)

Slacker today as spent morning making soup and ironing and then popped out to see parents this afternoon till late . Was going to call in at mates but felt sore throat still tickling and his wide has ME so thought it best to just go and infect my parents instead!

Walked from car to pub.. 10 minutes.
Danced a bit ...
Walked from taxi to myhouse via pakora shop ...15 minutes.
Suppose in total it could add up to 40 ..if I close my eyes . lol
Just in case I ll do more tomorrow.
Peacetrain you will be glad of the mini stepper when the weather is bad, my numb bum garage machine was a blessing.
5 people I haven't seen for ages said how good I am looking today and asked what I had been doing to loose weight.
They didn't believe me when I said it was just reducing carbs and being active for 40 minutes every day.

Cold ethyl hope you feel better . Ironingcounts because you are moving.

Better day today . Walked for an hour and half around the woods.
Wonder how long this ok weather will last

Been out for a long walk today after a bit of a skive yesterday . Had a real heavy thunderstorm last night so today was nice and breezy. Walking quite well now 6 weeks on from op but still have times when i cease up after sitting so I hope this improves !

You are doing really well, Connie.

So today was better. Done 28 mins on bike ( bum numb by then) and half hour's hoovering and cleaning bathroom and stairs then went fir 20 minute walk to pick last of blackberries down lane.

I have tried my exercise bike but also suffer numb bum syndrome and can only do 10 mins so 28 mins is great !

I must have a better padded bum! Strangely that's the one thing I've noticed about losing weight- if I sit any length of time my bum gets really numb xx

It's bumopathy!!
I thought about an exercise bike but decided against because I once used one in a gym and it didn't do my coccyx any good. I damaged it years ago and sometimes it flares up.

I got padded shorts. Once the weather turns I ll go back on numb bum garage machine lol.

We went to Girvan and Ballantrae today . My husband decided to go home by a 'different' route...ended up 10 miles from Newton Stewart and 36 miles from where we should be , via the Galloway Forest..
Two hours late we got home.

My mum came from Dalry near New Galloway and we spent many holidays at my grandmothers farm. Visited Newton Stewart often happy memories !

47 minutes on bike ( two stints) and a whizz round Aldi. Restraining myself from sticking a large watermelon over the head of the kid constantly chittering in a voice like a foghorn in the trolley that the mother seemed determined to park in front of every shelf, fridge of freezer that anyone wanted to be near must count as exercise too.

Its lovely Connie , theres worse places to get lost:)

Oh how I wish I could have seen you with the water melon cold ethyl lol.

Today I walked around the village where I live for 50 minutes . Amazing how many people are walking about 6pm

Did about 40 minutes walk today before feeling a bit light-headed (jet lag).

...45 minute walk yesterday, I might be diverted a bit on the one today as found out last night that a Banksy has appeared here in our town over the weekend and he has confirmed it was done by him...... will go down and have a look today as its not too far from where I work. We have the Arts Triennial here until the beginning of November, all sorts of arty things all over the place, so I think that must be why he chose to do it here...

Ooo, I love Banksy - can we have a photo please?

You wouldn't believe the trouble I've had trying to do this lol, definitely a technophobe! Took it today, they've covered it with perspex.

I don't know how to make it bigger @sanguine  maybe you can...

Is that with a camera or a phone Pollylocks? I can't do anything with the image in your post, and I don't think they allow attachments to PMs. I could PM you my email address and you could send me the original image?
