Today i skipped my daily NPH, slow acting insuline Humulin. Only took my fast acting insulin for bolus and had stable blood sugars all day. 8 hours after meal my (BG 8.3mmol @5:30 AM) , (BG 7.5mmol @7:51 AM), (BG 7.1 @12:06pm). What im wondering the doctor told me without my slow acting insuline dose my BG would keep rising without eating anything, but it had opposite effect. Am i taking NPH for nothing if i can achieve stable BG with only Bolus doses?? Since my diagnosis 3 weeks ago I cut refined sugar completely ( i used to drink over 300g + of carbs of five alive and fruitopia juices per day before diagnosis). Now im getting more and more sensitive to my bolus doses everyday it seems. Before my diagnosis i had been feeling symptoms of hyperglycemia for 2 years ( frequent pee and thirst ) Which the doctor didn't seem to believe me. 3 years ago they did ecographie of my belly region and i was told to CUT SUGAR DRINKS ASAP because i had huge amounts of fats and i never did. I also asked the doctor if they had tested my blood for antibodies that kill insulin cells and the doctor said they didn't do it because of my age 24 and my symptoms frequent pee and thirst where obvious signs of type 1 so the C-peptide test was no necessary. He is probably right honestly but isn't it weird they dont do the test anyways to confirm 100% before diagnosis?? I need advice should i go to private clinic to ask for the antibody test? Is this just the honeymoon period of my type 1 even if i had been feeling symtoms of hyperglecimia for 2 years before i was admitted to hospital in Ketoacidosis? Any suggestions would be really appreciated, deep down i know im a type 1 but the fact they didn't do the antibody test seems a bit weird to me.

Always had a beer belly, since i cut refined sugar its has shrunk ALOT like 20%-30% even friends and family noticed a lost alot of belly fat. Seems more i lose belly fat more i become sensitive to insulin.
