statins, low carbing and Reactive Hypoglycaemia!

I have done a lot of reading and if I get any reaction to them I have been told to quit them, but I still can't get my head around why I need them, because I've never been fitter for decades.

Chatting to a neighbour of mine yesterday & her doctor put her on statins because her brother recently died with cardiac issues, he was 78 years old, my neighbour is 76 years old, in quite good health too.
