I have to disagree with the both of you (Your post and the post you're replying to)
How does someone know they're 'ok' ? Would they take a regular, small dose of cyanide if they seemed 'ok' with it ?
After much research I've concluded they are noxious, even if they work in some beneficial way as well.
In the end it's a matter of faith, as well as knowledge. Currently I distrust statin-pushers who won't publish their data, and I choose to agree with the likes of cardiologist Aseem Malhotra who trained at world-renowned Harefield Hospital, along with a whole load of medical people who aren't hiding behind 'few side effects'. Obviously they also reject the cholesterol hypothesis.

It's a personal choice, but a narrative of 'being ok with statins' is meaningless for me. I felt ok when my BP was 180. Go figure.
