Stevia is diabetic friendly - it doesn't raise your glucose levels and as a bonus it's virtually calorie free too which is handy if you are also needing to lose weight. The only downside is that if you use in quantities it can leave an after taste.
It's very sweet in its pure form so you only need to use in minute amounts so while it can be used for baking, it's better if you can find a stevia and erythritol combination in granulated form.
