Or sitting on the toilet. That usually works.

True.Or sitting on the toilet. That usually works.
Just work through your list and try not to let them sidetrack you.
Fantastic.Well where do I start lol
So will type as I remember things so won,t be in the right order
To start with the DN asked why I was there so I immediately thought, I am going to get nowhere here, as she said I wasn,t due for a review. I then stated that it was the surgery that sent me the appointment.
The DN agreed to do the full diabetic thing.
The HbA1c was 7.2 which I knew had gone up but the DN did say not horrendously high.
Got weighed and have put on a stone since last weigh in last October.
DN did noticed that I did not have the full blood tests to check thyroid, kidneys etc, so she did blood test for everything except the HbA1c as that was done about a month ago.
So onto my list, blood pressure was normal, pulse rate normal.
Feet checked and poked and as expected not feeling anything.
Checked stomached area where I inject the victoza, all ok.
We spoke about my constant dry mouth and I explained I had seen my gp many times and all he ever said was I must snore and sleep with my mouth open. I replied, bulls&&t and she agreed.
Went onto the usual painkiller for nerve pain, that apparently is also classed as a anti depressant, all I remember it began with a A. So fair enough my gp had said if that was given to me, then my bipolar meds will have to be changed/looked into.
Had a ECG while there, looked ok but the duty gp will look over it sometime this afternoon.
DN has requested another hba1c test in 3 months time. The victoza has been put up to 1.8mg from 1.2mg and start the increase tomorrow as I do that in the mornings.
She has booked an appt for her to chat to my gp for next Monday, and she had shown me the booked appt on the computer so that is true.
There's bound to be things that I have forgotten so will add when I remember 5he.
I am happy because I was taken seriously .
Thank you. Am very pleased with the appointment.Fantastic.
Well done @ally1.
That's what you should expect once a year, with eyes and feet clinic appointment too.
Blood test may show up something for dry mouth. My blistered and swollen tongue is improving so must have been anaemia, for me.
Ask for a copy of results when there in next week. Tell them to leave at reception so you can pick up at your leisure.
Brilliant appointment eh?
Thank you.I call that a very positive interview. At long last someone is looking after you properly. I hope you can stick with this nurse. She sounds a whole lot better than your GP.![]()
Thank you. Well I just need to see what or if anything will be done when the nurse speaks to my gpWell, Ally, that seems a lot more like it. At last you seem to be getting some attention and not just husstled out of the door as quickly as possible.
I'm so pleased for you, and I hope this can be the foundation of a more positive relationship.
Sometimes a side affect from one of our drugs.Thank you. Am very pleased with the appointment.
Am hoping the results will be ok, but in away, hope something shows up because the constant dry mouth is driving me crazy.
So if nothing shows up, then I will be back to not knowing why

Yes I would agree with that. But looking back, I have a dry mouth way back to around 17 years ago and at that time, I wasn't on any meds then. My dry mouth has got alot worse since taking meds so yes they have made my dry mouth so much worseSometimes a side affect from one of our drugs.
