Michael Gove and his insane educational? policies!
As promised Totto and Equipoise!
Struntprat means nonsense or rubbish.
Skitprat means b@llocks.
Skit snack is b@llsh@t.
I am probably going to get kicked off the forum for this! You are now obliged to post a frivolous response. Incidentally my favourite Swedish word is diskmaskin (diskmahween) - love it!

Being a member of this forum has indeed widened my horizon along with my understanding of both English and my own language. Thanks, Scandichic!

Farthinder is also great! I will leave you to find the true meaning of this. Lol!

I wonder just how low carb it is - suppose it depends on what the bull had been eating
I am now giggling like a teenager. We all ought to have something better to do on a Saturday night but hubbie is out on works do charity thing and I am babysitting for the second night in a row. I think the stampylongnose you tube posts which I am now being subjected to have reduced me to hysterics. I have an episode of Wallander - the proper Swedish version. I might have to indulge!

I remember one night in my youth, walking home in the early morning and a sports car came at far too high speed past me and it jumped and sent a lot of sparks hitting the first farthinder but crept ever so slowly over the second. This was just outside the central nick in Stockholm so he should have known better. But the sparks were beautiful.

Oh well it's late and I'm just waiting to do my test after a late dinner.

Alternative definitions -

Struntprat, encouraging one of the kids in the quest for a satisfactory bowel movement
Skitprat, telling one of the kids to get out

We are all addicts here, why do I bring my iPad to bed with me or use it while watching tv....I have a few good books to read as well :/

I too have approached farthinder at too greater speed in my youth - I still do the same for humped back bridges. I like the lurching feeling you have in your stomach! So do the kids!

I like struntprat - it sounds a lovely derogative word to use for a bolshie type idiot. I shall add it to my list of "swear words" to use for anyone who pisses me off from now onwards: "Shut up you blooming great struntprat!"

thanks for those words Scandichic. I have impressed my family with farthinder.

I'm probably going to spell this wrongly so please don't shoot me if there are any Estonian speakers out there but I'm quite partial to loilli kari (pronounced loylee carry) meaning pack of fools.
Alternatively, if you want to stick to Swedish, then fjant (fiyant) - fool or dåre (doore) lunatic/madman.
