Hello,
As explained in my introduction topic, I am type 2 and have been for around 7 years and very badly controlled. Am now in process of trying to sort things out, however finding that my biggest hurdle is my inanely insatiable sweet tooth. Now Have read that I need to stay away from sugar as much as possible, but which is more important, sugar or carbs for controlling my blood sugar levels. Whats the alternatives for sweet snacks as this seems to make such a big part of my already horrific dietry intake.
I do appreciate that being type 2 for so long I should already have an answer to these questions, but my inability to accept my diagnosis has clouded my progress.

Please don't tell me biscuits are out the question.... or cheesecake :shock:
