Suppliment drinks

I personally wouldn't use them for a variety of reasons that might not be applicable to you at all. (Sugars, sweeteners, cowmilk for instance). What do you want from them? Because gut bacteria, as well as vitamins B, D and E can be taken as a cheap-ish supplement that is more cost-effective, and zero carb. What would you need them for? Gut health, over all health? Because a capsule of this or that can go a long way in achieving that, at a fraction of the cost and blood sugar spikes. Or even just having some proper full fat greek yoghurt or something... Lots of cultures in that, too.

How useful are products like Actimel or Yakault? Should they be avoided or used?
Neither is suitable for type 2 diabetics, IMO. These products contain far too much sugar for anyone's health With artificial sweeteners in the mix, I imagine they taste sickly sweet as well.

If it's gut health you're aiming for trying brewing your own home made kombucha, I brew my own and with my own flavours, mostly ginger, although it needs unrefined sugar for the fermentation process I can limit the amount I use so I know exactly how much has gone in and tend to consume around exercise too.
