What a good forum that would be. We often hear people saying they are not loosing weight but it is no good making a blanket statement telling them all to go low carb and they will loose the weight because that obviously does not work for everyone for a lot of reasons .For many it could be demoralising making them feel they are failing somewhere when every ones else seems to be loosing weight. A forum to talk to others who are also struggling with weight could be really good
I didn't lose last week, but I know why.I just think it would be good to have a place where those of us who, despite our best efforts, cant seem to shed the weight.
There may be reasons for this that are, as yet, not understood medically.
There may be mental, emotional or physical health issues, or a combination of issues.
But whatever the reason, I wanted a thread for us to support each other, without people coming on telling us we are doing X,Y or Z wrong, and just being there for each other.
You can lose weight on humulin m3. You have to reduce your insulin resistance so you're able to reduce your insulin. @Arsenal79 we are reminded by health professionals that diet is the biggest influence on our weight.I'm also struggling to loose weight I exercise up my local gym and on my exercise bike I am vitamin d deficiency and take an ample of d3 monthly for maintenance I tend to do the opposite I get stressed then starve myself to see if my weight drops off I've been stuck on 19 stone for the 2 years I've been diabetic and is now starting to get me down has there is no end insight no light at the end of the tunnel and when I tell my doctors they don't believe me that I exercise and watch what I eat
Do you use comfort eating or have change of eating habits depending on emotions @MollyLarkins ?Its harder it give up comfort food.and.to stop emotion eating than smoking
I've only just realised I no longer have emotional binge eating.Do you use comfort eating or have change of eating habits depending on emotions @MollyLarkins ?
If that were the case for me then I would have a clue as to why I haven't lost weight for a long time.
I'm losing @Pipp . currently half a kilo to a kilo a week.@ickihun
Are you saying that you think you have now sorted a weight loss regime that is working for you? Very pleased for you if that is the case.
In my previous post, I was not saying that I binge eat, but if that was the case then I would seek help for that eating disorder. Though I realise that is not easy to do. I was just curious about the comment made by @MollyLarkins, and wondering if she needed help.
I lost 16lbs initially, in the first three months. Then nothing. I am happy my blood sugar levels are now good, and I am eating to my meter and feeling generally better in myself, but wish my weight would go down.
I too tell myself I should be content to have taken hold of my diabetes, and feel better. But I am disappointed in my stalled weight loss, despite my best efforts.
It affects my depression and I often feel upset about this. I am pleased for those who can lose weight, I really am. I just wish I was one of them : (
If I was going to attempt weight loss via calorie restriction again, personally I'd go about it by ignoring the grams of protein, eating it first in the meal and to satiety. It's the most satiating of the macronutrients, the least likely to be over-eaten or trigger binge eating and has thermogenesis benefits (it burns more calories to digest than carbs even though gram for gram the calorie intake is supposed to be the same). I'd also keep carbs under 50g and limit added fat, relying mostly on the fat that naturally comes along with protein. At this point my carbs bounce around btwn 40 and 90 and I'm trying to keep protein at around 50 - 80 then control total calories in with how much fat I'm eating.
