So, I've been back to eating low-carb for just over a week, have lost 4lb, blood sugars better than usual and I'm feeling good!
But you should see the looks of horror on my work colleagues' faces when we go to the hospital canteen and I sit down with my plate of scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage and mushrooms!!
Then there's the silly questions like, "wouldn't you be better with a nice healthy bowl of bran flakes with some fresh fruit?" and "how can that be good for you when it's full of fat?" and "but you're diabetic, you shouldn't be eating like that".
And the best of it is, these are NHS professionals saying this!!
What chance have we got?
