Swollen ankles

I am type 2 for the last 2 years. Recently I have been experiencing swollen ankles which throb and burn and get very uncomfortable in the evening. They start to get worse at 6.30pm and throb and burn until I get up and walk, once I sit down they start again. Any advice please. Added to that my big toe and my thumb on my right side get very painful.

With the other kitty here: go to the GP. Could be anything, some of them quite serious, and you want to rule things out.

As already mentioned you need to get an appointment with your doctor and get seen, there's many reasons why this can occur but only a doctor can diagnose you, let us know how you get on ?

I got swollen ankles when I was prescribed a calcium channel blocker called "amlodipine" Much vomiting also. However there can be any number of reasons for swollen ankles and I think you should definitely see your doctor.
