Hi
Has anyone experienced cramps along shin bones, in toes and little finger and thumb..................... obviously not all at the same time. I get ankle, shin and toe cramps during the night which are horrific. The finger and thumb are weird and during the day. Thoughts, ideas please

I used to get legs cramps a lot (especially at night in my calves - was nasty at times), but this was back before my gluten-intolerance diagnosis when I was unknowingly suffering from malnutrition, ie I reckon it was caused by lack of some nutrients in my case

Now I rarely get them

Maybe it is due to some missing nutrients

I have had trigger fingers and I've now got shin ache (front of the leg) at night.
I have no idea what its all about but am taking magnesium /zine to see if that helps.

I still get this, exactly as you describe. I have found that it helps to drink more water. At the Transplant Clinic in May I had a hilarious conversation with the top guy who said "You'll think I have taken leave of my senses, especially as Nephrology is my thing, but try eating a packet of crisps!" I know it's the salt, so there are obviously other ways. For some time I took Quinine (nowhere near enough in tonic water!) which also made a difference. It's available on prescription. Good luck!

I work as a nursing assistant in a hospital and I used to regularly get cramp after going to bed in my feet/legs after working a 12 1/2 hour shifts. The days I didn’t work I didn’t get it. I also used to get cramp in my chest if I had to bend down to do up shoes. I googled what to take for cramp and it came up with magnesium and since I’ve taken it I rarely get cramp now!
