Hi all,
My first time posting here so hope i get the info all correct.
Had a very worrying night. My 75 year old mum telephoned me sounding very confused pleading for help . I got to her bedroom and found her in a very confused state which was horrible to see. Had to call the ambulance who said she was hypoglycemic. Took about an hour for her to stabilise by giving her plenty of foods . Only thing they said before the ambulance crew (who did an amazing job) was her temperature was very low at 33.5c but to get in bed and put the electric blanket on as it could have been with all the sweating . I just took her in a cup of tea and she is still shaken by the whole episode but back with us so to speak. However she is still freezing cold.
Couple of questions please . Firstly is it normal for a body to go cold after a hypoglycemic episode and secondly any tips on what i can do to get her temp back up a bit please.
Many thanks for any input as i am very worried.
Best wishes to all.
